Joining costs $348 today: a one-time $149 enrollment fee plus $199 for your first year. Membership is billed as one payment of $199 a year — there is no monthly billing — and renews automatically each year. You won’t be charged until you confirm.

Before you apply

Screening usually takes about 5 business days. It can take longer if we need to confirm something.

You will be asked to submit a government-issued ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport) to verify your identity. We do not collect your Social Security number.

The $149 enrollment fee covers identity verification and background screening. If your application is not approved, the $199 annual fee is refunded and the $149 enrollment fee is not.
